Shalimar Gardens

Shalimar Garden is located 8 km east of Lahore. Commissioned by Shah Jahan in 1637. The shape of the garden was inspired by the garden of the same name in Kashmir, which was later copied to the Shalimar Garden in Delhi. The wall is over 457 m (500 yd) long and contains 2 gardens with a narrow rectangular patio in between. Each garden is separated by canals and flower beds, following the traditional Persian char bagh or quadruple garden. Each of the 3 sections is located on a different level, so the upper section is hidden from view for those entering from below. The highest and most intimate part is said to be used by royal women. The waterways that meander through the gardens are fed by canals designed and managed by either Ali Mardan Khan, a defector to the Persian court, or Inayat Khan, the latter known for his architectural and construction expertise.

Gurudwara Nankana Sahib

Nankana Sahib is a city of 80,000 in Pakistan's Punjab area, where Gurdwara Janam Asthan (additionally called Nankana Sahib Gurdwara) is found. The hallowed place is worked over the site where Master Nanak, the pioneer behind Sikhism, was accepted to be brought into the world in 1469. It is 75 km toward the west of Lahore and is the capital of the Nankana Sahib locale. The city was recently known as Talwandi and was established by Rai Bhoi, an affluent property manager. Rai Bhoi's grandson, Rai Bular Bhatti, renamed the town 'Nankana Sahib' to pay tribute to the Master. 'Sahib' is an Arabic-beginning sobriquet of regard.

Badshahi Mosque

Badshahi mosque is one of a handful of the huge structural landmarks worked during Head Aurangzeb's long rule from 1658 to 1707. It is by and by the fifth-biggest mosque on the planet and was undeniably the biggest mosque on the planet from 1673 to 1986 when the Faisal Mosque was developed. In spite of the fact that it was constructed late in the Mughal time a time of relative downfall, its excellence, style, and scale typify Mughal social accomplishment like no other landmark in Lahore. The development of the mosque started in 1671 under the course of Muzaffar Hussain (Fida'i Khan Koka), Aurangzeb's brother by marriage and the legislative head of Lahore. It was initially arranged as a reliquary to defend a strand of the Prophet's hair. Its great scope is affected by the Jama Mosque of Delhi which had been worked by Aurangzeb's dad Shah Jahan. Since the north finish of the mosque was worked along the edge of the Ravi waterway, it was impractical to introduce a north door like the one utilized in the Jama Mosque, and a south entryway was likewise not developed to keep up with the general evenness. Inside the yard, the request lobby highlights four minarets that reverberate in miniature the four minarets at each side of the mosque's edge.
